Booster Club Minutes – September 21, 2010
© Meeting was called to order at 6:10pm and held at Willis High School. Executive Board Members present were Mary Gregory, Stacy Alexander, Aileen Ripkowski, Janice Kuhl, Michele Standefer and directors Mrs. Cade and Mrs. Lebow.
© Brooke Bushnell, SoCo officer, talked about upcoming events for the girls. Everyone pray that Kristen Lowery’s surgery is a success tomorrow! Halloween Party will be on Friday, Oct. 29 – more details to come. Girls went home with 2 flyers for the Sweetheart Clinic – each girl should try to get 2 girls to come. The dad’s dance practice is on Oct. 30thto prepare for the Nov. 5thdance.
© August minutes were read and approved by Terri Woodard and the Treasurer’s report was approved by Donna Shour.
© The raffle is coming up and we need donations by October 1st! We will sell tickets from Oct. 18th-Nov. 2nd. Pies will be the other selling fundraiser this fall, selling from Oct. 25th– Dec. 3rd. The service fundraiser will be a “Shop and Drop” where girls and adults will babysit kiddos for parents who wish to shop for Christmas… tentative date is Saturday, December 11th. If you wanted to buyout for this year’s fundraisers the $700.00 is due NOW! (Remember this buyout does not include the cookie sales in April, as that is a new team fundraiser).
© Football games – remember to bring your water/snacks if it is your week! We play on THURSDAY this week, Kingwood Park, at Turner Stadium in Humble.
© Field trip was cancelled due to the PSAT testing at school. Girls brought money home. Homecoming is October 1st– remember your Big/Little Sis… the gift is a garter mum! Girls may wear their mums to school.
© Remember to turn in cookbook money or books you will not be selling. Statements handed out tonight show your New York/cookbook totals on a separate statement.
© Fire up the Kats and Parade is this Monday, Sept. 27th. Needed volunteers to sell at the Spirit table… thank you Mrs. Churchwell, Mrs. Johnosn, Mrs. Shour and Mrs. Alexander!!
© School bond coming in fall of 2012 – need to consider a place for the drill team to call their own. Mrs. Burger offered to check into this.
