Booster Club Minutes – November 16, 2010

 ©  Meeting was called to order at 6:05pm and held at Willis High School.  Executive Board Members present were Mary Gregory, Stacy Alexander, Aileen Ripkowski, Michele Standefer, Janice Kuhl, and director Mrs. Cade.

©  Savannah Hosang, SoCo officer, talked about the exciting playoff games and working on streamer for the next game. The Halloween party was a success with lots of games and fun. The food drive is wrapping up this week with can goods due this Friday, Nov. 19^th. The next service for December is Toys for Tots girls will bring in toys for the needy. Secret Santa will be in December.

©  September minutes were read and approved by Dianne Burger and the Treasurer’s report was approved by Jim Light.

©  Pie delivery for November pies is this Thursday, Nov. 18^th after practice at 5:00pm. December orders due Tuesday, December 7^thand will be picked up Dec. 12^th!  Service fundraiser is pending until more information can be acquired.  We are not doing the shop and drop but may do a Glamour Magic photo shoot.  More information to come.

©  The Christmas parade is on Sat., December 4^thwith the theme being Charlie Brown Christmas… truck and trailer needed… Mrs. Hosang offered her trailer.

©  Girls to visit nursing home on December 13^thfrom 3:15-4:30 this has been changed from December 6^th.  More information to come.

©  Sweethearts will be celebrating their Christmas on December 16^thwith a dinner and show in downtown Houston.  They may have to leave after school to eat early enough to get to their show by 7:30.  More information to come.

©After football season, get your field uniforms dry cleaned and keep in the plastic bag when you return them. We will not pay for the Costume fee due December 1^stright now and may not have to if fundraising goes well.

©  The hosted contest is Feb. 18-19^th.  We set up on Friday night and at least one parent must work on Saturday.  We need to start collecting silent auction items… if you need a letter for a business donation email Mary Gregory for the form. The list of chairpersons for the show are: snack bar: Laura Robinson, Café: Michelle Davis, Silent Auction: Dianne Burger, Hospitality room: Shelene Hosang, Information flyers: Jim Light. Be sure to get a booster club shirt for this show.

©  Meeting was adjourned at 6:45 with 16 families represented!! There were hoodies and scarves for sale from the spirit table tonight.
